Our Faith in Action

Grow & Share

Community Garden

Psalm 24:1 “A Psalm of David. The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein.”  We believe that we should tend to God’s earth as an act of faith in His creation. The mission of our Community Garden program is to offer gardening opportunities for both church & community members, to inspire good stewardship of God’s earth, and to share our harvests with area food banks.

Isaiah 58:7 “Share your food with the hungry, and give shelter to the homeless. Give clothes to those who need them.” We believe that our faith has called us to care for and comfort our brothers and sisters in need. We provide ongoing support (back pack drives, food drives, monetary donations, and volunteers) to the many programs offered through Metrocrest Services

Sack Summer Hunger

Sack Summer Hunger

“The only miracle repeated in all four Gospels is the feeding of 5,000—an example of Jesus feeding the hungry.”  We believe there is a reason this miracle is told and retold, and we do our best to follow Jesus’ example of benevolence and generosity. When school lets out for summer, and even holidays, nutritious breakfasts and lunches for many children disappear. On a weekly basis, church volunteers deliver pantry items and fresh produce to families identified as in need. Learn more at Sack Summer Hunger.

Hope for the Homebound

Hope for the Homebound

Psalm 71:9 "Do not cast me away when I am old; do not forsake me when my strength is gone."  We believe that providing support to area homebound seniors is as much a blessing for us as it is to them. Elderly at the poverty level, with no means of transportation, are provided groceries, conversation, and companionship by church volunteers in partnership with Metrocrest Services.
