Grow and Share Community Garden

About the Garden

Since its creation in 2015, The Grow and Share Community Garden continues to be a thriving community and congregational resource, producing direct benefits to our neighborhood. We build community, donate fresh produce generously, and educate family, friends, schoolchildren, and neighbors on the benefits of fresh vegetables and on being a home gardener. Open dawn to dusk!

We currently have 40 4-foot by 10-foot plots and numerous community areas.

Mission

The focus of the garden is simple:

  1. to grow fresh, organic produce for families and others in need in our community and

  2. to provide educational resources to the local schools and community.

The Grow and Share Community Garden consistently supports three food banks—The Metrocrest Services donation center in Carrollton/Farmers Branch, Minnie’s Food Pantry in Plano, and the Friendship House in Carrollton. In addition, we provide fresh vegetables for the Sack Summer Hunger program.
